Conditions
Terms of use
These terms govern the use of this website. By accessing the pages you accept them. The crossing itself is governed exclusively by the ferry operator’s own conditions.

1. Scope and operator
These terms apply to all pages under scadlines.world. The site is operated by [Name / Firma des Betreibers]; full details are in the legal notice.
2. What this service is
This website is an editorial information service about the Gedser–Rostock and Puttgarden–Rødby ferry routes. It provides route information, crossing times and guidance on vehicle categories. Through the form you can send us a non-binding enquiry by e-mail, which we answer with information on sailings and fare types.
- We are not a tour operator and not a travel agent.
- We do not sell tickets, do not book on behalf of users and take no payments.
- An enquiry sent through the form is non-binding and creates no claim to carriage or to a particular price.
- Our answers are non-binding information given to the best of our knowledge; only what the ferry operator confirms at booking is binding.
- We are not a party to your contract of carriage.
3. No contract of carriage with us
A contract of carriage is concluded solely between you and the ferry operator, and only once you book there yourself, under that company’s general terms and conditions of carriage. Neither your enquiry nor our reply reserves a place or fixes a price. Any claims arising from a booking – delay, cancellation, rebooking or refund – must be directed to the ferry operator.
4. Accuracy of the information
Crossing times, frequencies, check-in deadlines and vehicle categories are researched carefully but can change at short notice. The same applies to information we give by e-mail: it reflects the position at the time of our reply. Only the ferry operator’s own booking system and official timetable are binding. No warranty is given for the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the information published here.
5. Permitted use
You may access and print the content for personal, non-commercial use. Not permitted are, in particular, automated extraction (scraping) of substantial parts, any method that disrupts or overloads the website, and any use that creates the impression of an official service of the ferry operator.
6. External links
This site contains links to third-party websites. We have no influence over their content or their data processing and accept no liability for either. Clicking such a link means leaving our service.
7. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under mandatory product liability law. For slight negligence we are liable only where a material obligation has been breached, and limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of service. Any further liability – in particular for missed connections, waiting times, missed departures or price changes – is excluded. There is no entitlement to uninterrupted availability of the website.
8. Trademarks and copyright
The text, graphics and design of this website are protected by copyright. Trademarks, company names and logos mentioned – in particular “Scandlines” – belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively, to identify the ferry route in question. No cooperation, affiliation or authorisation is implied.
9. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms, for instance because of changes in the law or in the scope of the service. The version published on this page, with the date shown, always applies.
10. Governing law
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which the user habitually resides remain unaffected. Should any provision of these terms be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected.
